My name is Jahayra Arce but most of the AoA community knows me by JJ. My preferred pronouns are she/her/hers. I am currently an Instructional Aide for the elementary SPED team. I have been working at AoA for three years now and I love it!
One fun fact about me is that I am bilingual, I speak both Spanish and English. Another fun fact about me is that I attended UC Santa Cruz and actually majored in Anthropology and minored in Education. I enjoy both learning about different cultures and human evolution and working with youth. I have been working with youth for about 5 years now.
There are so many reasons why I love AoA. I love how inclusive the AoA community is. From the start, the students are taught the importance of consent and inclusiveness.
